Make printed documents easier to share
Create a QR code for a PDF
Share a brochure, manual or document with a QR code. Link to a PDF you already host for free, or manage a replaceable file with a paid LlamaQR plan.
From link to print in three steps
- 01
Check the sharing link
Publish the PDF somewhere readers can access it. Test the link while signed out. Avoid links that expire, require your login or depend on a temporary download token.
- 02
Choose static or editable
Use a static QR for a stable file URL. Choose a paid editable QR if you need to change the destination after printing. To host the document with LlamaQR, upload and publish it from Files in your dashboard.
- 03
Download and test
Generate the QR below for an existing link, choose your export format and scan a sample print. Confirm the correct document opens and loads acceptably on a phone.
Create your QR code
Free · Private · No watermark
Scan-safe. Print-ready.Step 1: Choose content
Step 2: Make it yours
The PDF is linked, not stored inside the QR
The QR contains an address. The reader’s phone still needs an internet connection to fetch the document. A code cannot make a private file public or keep an expired sharing link alive.
Replace the document without replacing the sign
For LlamaQR-hosted files, open the linked file QR in Files, upload a replacement and publish it. Readers then receive the published version through the existing QR. Storage and per-file limits depend on your plan; previous versions also use storage.
Make the document worth opening
Use readable headings, selectable text and a clear filename. Compress large images and check the PDF on a small screen. For short instructions, a web page can be easier to read and maintain than a multi-page PDF.
Questions before you print?
Can I upload a PDF for free?
Free static generation accepts an existing public URL. Uploading and hosting a PDF on LlamaQR requires an eligible paid plan.
Will replacing a PDF change the QR?
Replacing and publishing the file attached to the same LlamaQR file QR preserves that QR. For a static code, replacement only works if the exact encoded URL continues to serve the file.
Can I see how many people read the PDF?
Paid QR analytics show requests and likely-human estimates. They do not prove a person read the document, count unique readers or measure reading time.
